How We Fight Food Insecurity

At Fighting Food Insecurity, we believe access to nutritious food is a basic human need. Our work focuses on meeting immediate hunger needs while strengthening the community systems that help prevent food insecurity long-term. Everything we do is rooted in dignity, compassion, and collaboration.

Our Programs

Food Distribution

We provide consistent access to wholesome, nutritious food for individuals and families facing food insecurity. Our distributions are designed to be welcoming, efficient, and respectful—ensuring every person feels supported, not judged.

Each month, we serve approximately 200 families, helping reduce food instability and household stress.

Community Support

Food insecurity rarely exists in isolation. We connect individuals and families with additional community resources that support stability, wellness, and long-term resilience.

By listening first and responding with empathy, we help ensure families feel seen, supported, and valued.

Food Rescue

Reducing food waste is a critical part of fighting hunger. We partner with local grocery stores, farmers, food suppliers, and community organizations to rescue surplus food that would otherwise go to waste.

This food is safely redistributed to families in need, creating a sustainable solution that supports both people and the environment.

Community Partnerships

Hunger is a community challenge that requires a community solution. We proudly collaborate with:

  • Volunteers

  • Local nonprofits and faith-based organizations

  • Farmers and food suppliers

  • Small businesses and community leaders

These partnerships allow us to expand our reach, share resources, and strengthen the safety net for our neighbors.
