About Fighting Food Insecurity
We are a volunteer-powered nonprofit committed to nourishing hope, strengthening our community, and ensuring no neighbor faces hunger alone.
WHO WE ARE
Committed to Dignity and Hope
Our organization exists because hunger is not just a lack of food—it is a challenge that affects dignity, stability, and opportunity. We meet this challenge with empathy, action, and a deep commitment to our neighbors.
Fighting Food Insecurity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization guided by a dedicated board of directors and powered entirely by volunteers. Since our founding, we have proudly served residents throughout Saint Charles County and the surrounding communities, providing nutritious food and compassionate support to approximately 200 families each month.
Our work is made possible through the generosity of community donations and the vital support of grant funding. Together, these resources allow us to continue combating hunger, reducing food insecurity, and uplifting individuals and families in need.

Our Story
Fighting Food Insecurity was founded on the belief that no one should have to face hunger alone. What began as a mission-driven response to a growing community need has grown into a collaborative effort fueled by volunteers, partners, and supporters who share a common purpose: nourishing hope.
Every food distribution, partnership, and act of service reflects our promise to serve with dignity, respect, and compassion. As needs evolve, our commitment remains unwavering: to show up, to listen, and to help build a stronger, healthier community.
